Product Description

Product Description

Laboratory mixing machine is a kind of equipment used for scientific research, teaching or small-scale experiments to evenly mix, grind and refine materials. Its core function is to make different materials fully contact through mechanical forces (such as stirring, rolling, shearing, etc.) to achieve component homogenization, particle size refinement or physical and chemical property modification. It is widely used in materials science, chemistry, geology, pharmacy and other fields.

Main types and working principles

According to the working principle and structural characteristics, laboratory mixer grinders are mainly divided into the following categories:

1. Stirring Mixing Mill

Principle: The rotating impeller (such as paddle, anchor, turbine) exerts shear force and convection on the material to disperse and mix the particles. Some equipment can be equipped with grinding beads (such as glass beads, ceramic beads) to enhance the grinding effect.

Features: Simple operation, suitable for mixing liquids, slurries or low-viscosity materials. The mixing efficiency is affected by the rotation speed, blade shape and material viscosity.

Applications: coating preparation, ink mixing, nanomaterial dispersion, etc.

2. Roller Mixing Mill

Principle: The material rolls with the grinding media (such as steel balls, ceramic balls) in the rotating drum, and is mixed and ground through impact, rolling and friction. The drum can be placed horizontally or tilted, and the speed determines the grinding intensity.

Features: Suitable for fine crushing and uniform mixing of brittle materials. The grinding effect is related to the ball-to-material ratio, ball diameter distribution and drum speed.

Applications: ore sample preparation, ceramic raw material crushing, battery electrode material mixing, etc.

3. Planetary Ball Mill

Principle: Multiple grinding jars revolve around the central axis while rotating themselves, generating strong centrifugal force and impact force, causing the grinding media to collide and shear with the material at high speed.

Features: The mixing and grinding efficiency is extremely high, and nano-level particle size refinement can be achieved. It is suitable for hard and brittle materials or high hardness materials (such as metals and ores).

Applications: Nanopowder synthesis, catalyst preparation, geological sample analysis, etc.

4. Double Cone/V-Type Mixer

Principle: The rotation of the container causes the material to repeatedly flip and spread under the action of gravity, achieving shear-free mixing, which is suitable for powdery or granular materials.

Features: The mixing process is gentle and does not easily destroy the particle structure of the material. It is suitable for samples that are sensitive to particle size (such as drug powders).

Application: formula mixing in the pharmaceutical industry, preparation of food additives, etc.

5. Three Roll Mill

Principle: Three parallel rollers rotate towards each other at different speeds. When the material passes through the gap between the rollers, it is squeezed and sheared to be refined and mixed.

Features: It can accurately control the thickness and fineness of materials, and is suitable for high-viscosity slurries (such as inks, slurry coatings).

Applications: preparation of printing inks, production of electronic pastes (such as silver paste), etc.
