The cold feed rubber extruder is used for extruding half-finished rubber products such as tire treads, rubber pipes, inner tubes, cables and feeding rubber, etc.

  • Cold fed extrusion saves energy by operating without heating the rubber prior to extrusion.
  • Rubber materials with stationary temperature and viscosity can be fed continuously with high precision and homogeneity.
  • Mounting the extruder has nothing to do with the compound-preparation workshop, more suitable for the company without a mixing workshop.

We upgraded to this 85mm pin-barrel cold feed extruder for radial tire tread production, and the results are exceptional. The pin-barrel design enhances shear mixing, producing a homogeneous compound with minimal scorch. Melt pressure stability is ±2 bar, ensuring sharp tread pattern definition and consistent density. The energy-efficient heating system reduced power consumption by 18%, and the integrated melt temperature sensor provides real-time process control. Even with high-viscosity TBR compounds, throughput is steady at 250 kg/h. This machine has boosted our tread quality and production efficiency significantly.
